What is the difference between a VPS and a dedicated server?
If you order a dedicated server, we provide you with a separate machine, which will only be at your disposal. In the VPS tariff (also called a virtual server) you will receive a separate disk space where the dedicated server will be fully emulated. The difference is that there can be several virtual servers on one physical machine. As a rule, a dedicated server has a higher speed. But VPS is much more economical.
What technology do we create virtual servers for?
We use KVM, a virtualization system built into the Linux system. We consider this technology to be the best - because in technical characteristics it is not inferior to other systems, and in management it is simpler and more convenient.
Do you have SSDs installed on your servers?
Only SSDs are installed on our servers, and no others. Such drives are much faster and more reliable. Moreover, they are all our own, and not rented (like the rest of the “iron”). This allows us to minimize any risks for us and our customers.
Can I change the tariff at any time?
Yes, of course you can. Just write us a ticket.
How to transfer a site from another hosting to Intersect?
You do not need to carry anything yourself. Contact us, and we will either show you how to do this step by step, or - if you wish - we will transfer your site yourself.
Do we have protection against DDoS attacks?
Of course. Both we and the employees of our partners are engaged in this - data centers in which the servers are located. Your information is under round-the-clock protection from hackers and dishonest competitors.
How can I get money back for paid services?
We will refund if, for some reason, our services were provided to you in an unspecified amount. To do this, you need to fill out an application and provide a copy of your passport.
In what currency can I pay for services?
Billing accepts and converts almost any currency convenient for you.
Is it possible to order a tariff for a period of less than a month?
Unfortunately, not yet. Perhaps this option will appear over time.
Is everything according to the law?
As much as possible. We own servers in different countries of Europe, and in each everything is designed, complied with and will be respected in accordance with the legislation of a particular country. We expect the same responsibility from clients: if your project violates the laws of the country in which the server is located, we will have to deactivate your account.
Who do you rent equipment from?
We rent only empty shelves in data centers. We purchase all other equipment at our own expense.
Do you provide a control panel?
Of course, and for free. At your choice - ISPmanager or Vesta. A free control panel is provided at all Intersect tariffs.
I am ordering a server. How fast will I receive it?
Your server will be automatically ready within 15 minutes after ordering. If you selected the ISPmanager control panel, the time to fully install all updates may increase up to 30 minutes.
Does tech support work in English?
Yes it works.
Can I register a domain with you?
No, we specialize in providing hosting services, domains are not our profession. We can tell you on what resources it is better to do. Please write to the tech support chat.
I want a test mode. How to connect?
We do not have a test mode service. However, if you have any questions about our services, or you want to clarify certain points, write to us and we will discuss this privately.
What is the level of your data centers by country?
In all countries, our servers are located exclusively in TIER III level data centers.
What happens if something breaks on my server?
We constantly monitor the status of all components, but in case of an emergency, all components will be replaced within an hour.
I need individual server settings. You will help?
Of course. We will process your request and configure within 24 hours from the receipt of the application.
